Riding Safety
A night-riding preparation checklist
· 3 min read
Night riding changes how quickly you can see road conditions and be seen by other road users. A short routine before leaving helps you start with fewer unknowns.
Start with visibility
Check that your headlight, tail light, brake light, and indicators are working. Clean the visor and consider a clean reflective layer if it suits the conditions.
Give yourself more margin
Check tyre condition and pressure according to your motorcycle manual, plan the route, and leave more distance and time than you might in daylight. Slow down if visibility or road conditions change.
A calm, visible, well-prepared ride is the goal, not arriving a few minutes sooner.
